Urgent Support & Crisis Situations
Therapy can be a valuable source of support, but it is important to understand that I am not a crisis service and cannot provide immediate support between sessions, outside of working hours, or in an emergency.
If you feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or you need urgent support, please contact one of the following services:
-
Emergency Services: Call 999 if there is an immediate risk to life or serious injury.
-
Accident & Emergency (A&E): Attend your nearest hospital emergency department if you need urgent mental health support.
-
NHS 111: Call 111 and select the mental health option (where available) for urgent advice and support.
-
Samaritans: Call 116 123 (free, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year) if you need someone to talk to.
-
SHOUT: Text SHOUT to 85258 for free, confidential crisis support by text message, 24 hours a day.
-
Your GP: Contact your GP surgery during opening hours if you are struggling and need additional support.
If you are concerned about your wellbeing between sessions, I encourage you to make use of these services and any other support networks available to you. We can also discuss a personalised safety and support plan as part of our work together if this would be helpful.
